Most Easter egg hunts have been canceled as the world deals with a global pandemic. This social distancing egg hunt activity is a fun way to keep everyone in your home entertained. Here are some alternative Easter egg hunt ideas and alternative Easter Egg filler ideas to keep this tradition fresh and egg-citing.
Skip the Calories
You are stuck at home and don’t want to feed your children with candies. Create fun tasks that engage the whole family.
2. Make puzzling exciting
Do you have an old puzzle lingering in your closed that everyone has forgotten about? Insert a piece in every egg and let your kids track how many eggs are still missing. We guarantee you, this hunt won’t be finished after 5 minutes and keeps your kids busy for a long time.
3. Coupons for our little ones
You wished to do something special with your family but can’t due to social distancing requirements. Gift a coupon.
4. An Egg Scavenger Hunt
The concept is easy - you put clues into plastic eggs and the kids have to figure out where the eggs are hidden based on the clues. The last clue brings them to their Easter basket.
If you have more than one child, we recommend numbering the eggs with a sharpie along with each kid’s name so that they don’t accidentally find someone else’s egg. One tip to remember though is that each kid gets a “starter” egg that has the first clue in it. Otherwise, it can get a little confusing!
We wish you a lot of fun and let us know who won.
